My experince with Alexa

I have been using Alexa for the post six years since 2019 when the Echo Dot was relesed and small puck sized speker with alexa built in, all the way to the Echo Show 5 and the Big Echo Dot.
I love it, I can make routines, turn on lights, ask for the Weather and more. For example I have this routine one set up.

When I dismiss a Alarm at 6:40 AM Wait 5 seconds Tell me The Time Tell me the Date Tell me the Weather Wait 5 Seconds Tun off Fan (Smart Plug) Turn on Desk Lap (Smart Light Bulb) Set Desk Lamp Color to Soft White Ramp desk lamp Brightness to 70% over 10 min Wait 20 Min Turn of Desk Lap

Intergation

All of this is Possable thanks to some thing called Intergation . For example to turn on the Desk Lamp I have a Cync Light Bub By GE. This allows amazon to interact with the Light Bulb to tun it On/Off, change Color and Brightness. All in the cloud, that way I dont need to run some software in Docker. But I do have a Home Lab. Amazon Alexa has more than 100,000 services.
